We did our big foray into the city of Portland today!  We took the max and went to Powell Books, the world's biggest book store.  It is a new and used book store...  There are different rooms for different areas eg: kids = The Rose Room.  Sadly I didn't get anything, I didn't see anything that grabbed me.  But Levi got a Calvin and Hobbes used and it was  $4.95, and The Diary of a Whimpy kid 2.  He is going to share both of them...  We are still at Crown Point RV park, but we are leaving tomorrow.  I also got 2 new buttons for my backpack, a bird and hands with a plant in them.  They are smaller than the other ones and don't say anything, but they are still cool.  OH, AND IN THE PARKING LOT FOR THE MULTNOMAH FALLS WE SAW A HAWAII LICENCE PLATE!!!

Love you all,

Narah

  2. Hi kids and grands, It is so neat to follow you on your trip. We have checked it on the map and now through your effort opa and I can go south virtually from our armchair. Opa is doing his exercises now and can bend his knee over 90 degrees and is using his cane to walk stairs and order me around. Carmen and I went to vic general for my scope and all is well--no troubles other than the diverticula. This time it was virtually painless so also good. How is Skylar feeling? Is she over her cold? Can you keep warm at night. Anyways we love you all and good night.

  3. Hey Narah and M. Timmermans,

I'm loving the blogging Narah! I also like the fact your design is changing daily. I think Carrie was jealous of going to that book store. If we ever go there I'll have to hold on to the money!

Have a great day and chat to you soon. Are you using ichat at all? We can start turning it on once in a while if you are using it.
    Lots of Love.

  4. Narah,
We are so impressed with your 'Blogging' abilities and are enjoying following your family adventure. Sounds like great fun! Glad to hear that you guys survived Portland - on our last road trip south to Mexico - we got very lost in Portland! Wish we had ended up in that bookstore :)
Please know we are thinking of all of you - you are in our thoughts and prayers!
    Blessings

    Love the Troughton's
