I must report the good times and the hard times. We have all been under the weather, we are hoping to be better soon. Good news is that I saw Las Vegas! (at about 100 km an hour) I was saying to Papa "tell me if you see any cool buildings" Levi says "What, are you going to drift off or something?" We did see the "CN tower"-- or the "Space needle" we couldn't tell. Megan and family, I saw your hotel in a map... Did you stay at the Excalibur as well as the Luxor?
After a night or two we got to death valley... pretty neat place, desert, salt flats, rock hills. Levi and I tried to catch geckos, did a junior ranger program, and we lived a few nights nights without electricity.
Supper and a movie is almost ready.
Love you all,
Narah
Sorry to hear you were under the weather...Just when you need some black bean soup!!!
ReplyDeleteI am loving your posts, check the computer several times a day!!!
I want to know a few things:
Will Papa help me with my spelling, 'cause I didn't notice any mistakes.
Did Sky have her own horse, or ride with someone else?
What was the best thing you have had to eat during your travels? (and did you get the recipe?)
What has been the most peaceful moment?
What has been the scariest?
I miss our telephone chats, and can't wait to speak to you next.
My love to the family.

Dear Narah and all, We can clink glasses as under the weather is happening here too. Carmen brought the flu and cough cold from Providence right to our house. Carmen is back to work today but I am still down for the count--coughing and swollen head and such. Silas has had it too but he's smiling in between coughing. Opa hasn't gotten it at all so he is the designated person to bring kleenex and cough syrup.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are in a sunny warm spot because that always helps. We love you all and are lookin g forward to face to face time. Love from Oma
Hi NarahFran!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are under the weather and hope you'll be better soon. We stayed in Las Vegas at the pyramid, the Luxor. But we walked through the Excalibur and Mandalay..lots of walking. I think Las Vegas at 100 km./hr is just the perfect way to see it. Much better idea to camp out in Death Valley (except for the name, maybe!). Not so bad to be without electricity, is it? did you have candles? Remember our candlelit nights by the campfire at Mr. Moro's? We have great memories from that.
Take care, safe driving home!
megan and family.
Walking in the Valleys of Death and Las Vegas. Wonderful adventures and photos! Thanks for all the updates. Drive Careful.
